BMC EXHIBITS ITS ARMORED VEHICLES AT EDEX 2023

BMC, one of Türkiye's leading military vehicle manufacturers, is exhibiting its ALTUĞ 8x8 and AMAZON 4x4 vehicles at the EDEX 2023 (Egypt Defence Expo) to be held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, between December 4-7, 2023.

BMC is waiting for its visitors at EDEX 2023, one of the most important defence industry fairs in Africa and the Middle East, with the new generation AMAZON 4x4 Multi-Purpose Armored Vehicle, which is highly appreciated for its renewed ergonomic design, and the ALTUĞ 8x8 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, which has multi-mission capability on a single platform with its modular roof concept.

AMAZON 4X4 - MULTI-PURPOSE ARMORED VEHICLE

AMAZON 4x4 can reach a range of 800 kilometers and reach a speed of 110 kilometers per hour. With a maximum loaded weight of 16 tons, the vehicle can be manned by 7 personnel. AMAZON 4x4, which has ballistic, mine and improvised explosive device protection, stands out with its deterrence feature with its remote-controlled weapon station. In addition to standard equipment such as fire extinguishing and air conditioning systems, cold climate package, run-flat, central tire inflation system, the vehicle also includes mission equipment such as self-rescue crane, siren announcement system, fog mortar and intercom system.

ALTUĞ 8X8 - INFANTRY FIGHTING VEHICLE 

ALTUĞ 8x8 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (with 35 millimeter gun turret) and Armored Personnel Carrier (with 12.7 millimeter gun turret) are designed to meet all the needs of conventional and asymmetric battlefields in their class. The vehicles stand out with their superior features in every aspect, determined by evaluating the most up-to-date user requirements, mission concepts, threats, technology and trends, as well as the capabilities of existing domestic and foreign vehicles in this market. A high localization rate of up to 80 percent is targeted for the ALTUĞ 8x8 series vehicles. In addition to the domestic and national axle equipment in all versions of the vehicles, studies are underway to use domestic engines in the 8x8 and 6x6 versions with 12.7 millimeter gun turrets. Capable of carrying all types of weapons from 7.62 millimeters to 120 millimeters, ALTUĞ 8x8 offers superior protection against mines and improvised explosive devices. ALTUĞ can carry an useful load of up to 8 tons. ALTUĞ, which has "multi-mission capability on a single platform" with its removable and replaceable vehicle roof concept, operates with advanced maneuvering capability thanks to 4-axle steering.
