BMC WELCOMES VISITORS AT DIMDEX 2024

DIMDEX 2024, MARCH 4-6, 2024 DOHA – QATAR

BMC, the leading military vehicle manufacturer of Turkey, will be exhibiting KIRPI II, ALTUG 8x8, AMAZON 4x4 armored vehicles as well as indigenous and national power assemblies developed by BMC POWER at DIMDEX 2024 (Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference), which will be held for the 8th time in Doha, the capital of Qatar, this year.

Becoming the export leader in 2023 in military land vehicles for two consecutive years by realizing 52 percent of the total exports in Türkiye, BMC continues to successfully represent Türkiye's strength in the defence industry in the international arena.

BMC welcomes visitors at DIMDEX 2024, where the latest technological products and innovations in the defence industry will be exhibited, with KIRPI II, the advanced version of the legendary KIRPI with its superior level of protection in the mine resistant vehicle class; ALTUĞ 8x8, featuring multi-mission capability on a single platform with its modular roof concept; and AMAZON 4x4 with its new ergonomic design.

Indigenous and national power assemblies developed by BMC POWER will be exhibited at DIMDEX 2024.

TUNA engine with 400 HP, BATU engine with 1500 HP and LEVEND marine engine with 600 HP, developed by BMC POWER specifically for the blue homeland, will also be exhibited at DIMDEX 2024.

WHAT IS ON EXHIBITION AT DIMEX 2024

KIRPI II 4x4 – MINE RESISTANT VEHICLE

The advanced version of KIRPI, which has become a legend with its superior level of protection in the mine resistant vehicle class, features an independent suspension system.

In addition to its high protection features, KIRPI 4x4 remains the leader of its class in both road handling and passenger comfort.

Equipped with independent suspension, KIRPI 4x4 stands out with its monocoque armored cabin and special armored windshields, shock-absorber seats, weapon-station and the emergency exit hatch, as well as its numerous pieces of task-oriented equipment (e.g. CBRN protection system, shot fire location detection system, automatic fire extinguisher system, intercom system, interference-dampening system), and the custom-design version with the robotic arm for explosive detection and disposal.

ALTUG 8x8 – ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIER

Featuring a high level and augmentable modular ballistic mine, IED protection and CBRN protection system, ALTUG 8x8 provides an advantage with its shot fire location detection system while being the stronghold of the battlefield. Capable of carrying all types of weapons from 7.62 millimeters to 120 millimeters, ALTUG 8x8 provides superior protection against mines and improvised explosive devices. ALTUG is able to carry a payload of up to 8 tons. Featuring "multi-mission capability on a single platform" with its removable and replaceable roof concept, ALTUG 8x8 offers advanced maneuverability with 4-wheel steering.

AMAZON 4x4 – MULTI-PURPOSE ARMORED VEHICLE

Capable of reaching a speed of 110 kilometers per hour, AMAZON 4x4 has a range of 800 kilometers. Having a maximum loaded weight of 16 tons, the vehicle can be manned by 7 personnel. Equipped with ballistic, mine and improvised explosive device protection, AMAZON 4x4 adds deterrence with its remote controlled weapon station. The vehicle comes with standard equipment such as fire extinguishing and air conditioning systems, cold climate package, flat repair, central tire inflation system. The vehicle also features mission equipment such as a self-rescue winch, siren announcement system, smoke grenade launcher and intercom system.

TUNA 400 HP ENGINE

TUNA diesel engine produces 400 horsepower with its 4-cylinder structure. TUNA engine, the first shipments of which were made by BMC Power with a ceremony held at BMC Arifiye Plant on February 2, 2023, is the first mass-produced indigenous and national engine for land vehicles in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces with its integration into BMC's Multi-Purpose Armoured Vehicle VURAN 4x4.

BATU 1500 HP POWER ASSEMBLY

Designed and developed by Turkish engineers, the V12 engine, which is the first 12.8-cylinder engine, was ignited successfully for the first time in 2021. Testing and qualification works are ongoing at the BMC POWER test center. Compatible with the 1500 HP engine, projects for the development of a transmission with steering and braking capability and high torque delivery, a high efficiency cooling group and a multifunctional control unit are also underway simultaneously under BMC POWER.

LEVEND MARINE ENGINE

LEVEND marine engine with in-line 6-cylinder and 4-stroke diesel engine technology features 12 liters of displacement, turbocharging and air cooling aspiration system. Featuring a common rail injection system and water-cooled structure, LEVEND marine engine will meet an important demand in the sector at the service of the blue homeland.
